Teak

Teak is one of the hardest, strongest and most durable of all timbers and because of this, it is highly resistant to rotting. Teak is almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost, and snow, making it a perfect material for outdoor furniture and is ideal for patios and garden settings. (This is also why it has been the number one choice of boat builders for centuries.) The teak tree can grow to 150 feet and are normally milled when the teak tree is at least 40 years old.

The teak furniture presented in our showroom is presented in it natural state. If left untreated, teak furniture will take on a beautiful patina and will turn gray. Teak can also be maintained with a marine sealer, so teak will retain its honey color. This teak sealer is available at reputable marine stores.
